PCM is pleased to provide opportunities for short-term teams to travel to Poland to assist in ministry and service projects. We believe short-term teams can be a significant encouragement to the Polish churches as they establish relationships with pastors and church leaders, serve alongside the members of the church, and reach out to meet the needs of the local communities.
As a short-term team member, you can use your gifts to serve the people of Poland and, in so doing, build bridges between the nations that will last into eternity. Your heart for God and His Kingdom will surely expand as you witness faith in action in a foreign country.
As part of a PCM short-term trip, you can assist Polish congregations/church plants in one or more of the following ways:
- Leadership Development
- Small group ministry
- Children’s ministry
- Worship ministry
- Local evangelism initiatives (teaching conversational English, soccer clinics, etc.)
- Building renovation and work projects that serve the needs of the local church
- Fulfilling other specific needs of the local congregation as needed
2023 Poland Bound
Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, over 9.1 million Ukrainian refugees have found their way to Poland. This focus of welcoming and providing for these Ukrainian refugees continues to be of primary importance to the Polish church and nation at this time. The attention the Ukrainian refugees need at this time is where the Polish church is directing its effort and energy. Some churches are not only helping refugees find housing but they are housing them at the church building. Distribution centers for food, clothing, personal hygiene items and more are being supported by Polish churches. Many of the Polish churches are organizing transports of food, clothing, and medical supplies into Ukraine to several different locations.
2023 PCM Short Term Opportunities
PCM is in relationship with many Christian Fellowship churches in Poland and Ostroda Camp to determine how short term teams can come alongside them in 2023. The purpose of trips may be altered due to the number of Ukrainian refugees who have remained (for good reason) in Poland. PCM will accept applications through January 1, 2023 for winter trips and March 1, 2023 for summer trips.
